Due Diligence Requirements

Following the implementation of The Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017 (MLR 2017) we are obliged to undertake due diligence checks when providing regulated services such as company formations and/ or ongoing services (e.g. registered office, mail forwarding, company secretarial). All relevant individuals need to provide all requested due diligence before we are able to proceed with the processing of client orders.

One off Company Formations:

The MLR 2017 deem a one-off formation (Company Formation with no ongoing services) to be a business relationship and due diligence will be undertaken on our client of record only.

Ongoing Services

When providing ongoing services (e.g. Registered Office, Mail Forwarding, Officer Service Address, Etc) due diligence will be required for our client of record as well as any shareholder owning or controlling than 25% shares in the company for which we are providing services.

UK Resident Individuals

For UK resident individuals we will attempt electronic identity verification. Should electronic identity verification be unsuccessful, additional documentation will be requested.

Non-UK Resident Individuals

For Non-UK resident individuals, we will require certified copies of due diligence. Copies of photo ID and proof of residential address will need to be certified by a Chartered Accountant, Solicitor or Notary Public. Full due diligence requirements and certification guidance will be emailed once the order has been placed.

We apologise for any inconvenience but, in common with all other UK formation agents, we are obliged to comply with these Regulations.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
